Freeman graduated from Curtin University with a BA (Art) in 2007 and has participated in exhibitions at the Fremantle Arts Centre and PICA as well as in several artist run spaces. His practice spans video and photography as well as drawing, painting, sculpture and other crafts. He recently travelled to the UK funded by the Department of Culture and the Arts to research his mum's sites of childhood in order to develop a body of work connecting his own childhood memories and histories.
