'How far away are you?' 'Can you move that?' 'What's your ETA?' 'How's it goin?'
Across 40 channels of crackling static, clipped and fragmented exchanges of despatch information and never-quite-private but familiar conversations are narrowcast to who ever is listening.
Two-way radios are a way of life for many regional communities and industries including families on busy farms, truckies and city couriers. At PICA, WA Wheatbelt artist Roderick Sprigg will explore the noise of familiarity, protocol and business, of lives mediated and transmitted via two-way radio.
