While Perth-born artist Gail Hastings is known as a sculptor, her
Sculptural Situations are neither the traditional image we have of sculpture nor are they installation, but specific spaces where the process of perceiving, understanding and taking action takes central place. Building upon her well received 2007 Art Gallery of New South Wales exhibition
'I lost my balance yesterday, my mind is really starting to slip' (overheard conversation, wharf 2 Circular Quay, Sydney, 06.07.1999), this exhibition will feature three new works especially occasioned by PICA.
Opening: Wednesday 6 February, 6pm
