The Black Swan
An audio-visual installation
18 mins HDV
Focusing on the multi-referential symbolism of the black swan as a contemporary universal concept, a symbol of Indigenous significance and a cross-continental historical icon connecting Europe with Australia, Scottish artist Katri Walker has created new work, through dialogue with curator Amy Sales, using this living phenomena as the foundation of a sociopolitical exploration of the co-existence of difference in an age of globalisation.
