Educating for Innovation

with Tate's Head of Learning, Anna Cutler

A seminar that examines how contemporary arts-led programs build innovation capacity in children and young people.

Keynote speaker Anna Cutler, Tate's first Director of Learning will discuss Tate's commitment to learning in light of its work with children, schools and young people, whilst outlining her future vision for a Tate-wide approach to engagement with art that emphasises new contexts for learning and ways of looking at art.

Other speakers will provide inspiring insight into local creatively based initiatives that are giving children and young people significant opportunities to develop their life skills, share their views and shape their futures. These speakers include Michelle Scott, Commissioner for Children and Young People WA; Geoff Metcalf, Principal, Roseworth Primary School; and Dr Julie Robson, Postdoctoral Fellow, CREATEC at Edith Cowan University.
