Cedric Bomford

Studio 1
During his residency Cedric Bomford has constructed an installation referencing a range of local and international historic sites and architectural features. His project is constructed from salvaged and used materials sourced locally. This installation builds on an ongoing body of work by Bomford that attempts to, as cultural theoretician Sarat Maharaj says: 'think through the visual'. Bomford's work welcomes decoding and speculation - it hints at myriad possible narratives and is 'activated' by the presence and interpretive action of visitors.
