Benjamin Armstrong creates sculptures, drawings and prints that allude to tomorrow's prehistoric. Made from materials such as wax, wood, glass, inks and pigments his objects and images are both graceful and disquieting and possess a limited palette and a powerful simplicity.

He was born in 1975 in Melbourne where he currently lives and works. He graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts, Painting from the Victorian College of the Arts in Melbourne in 1996. Armstrong's work has since been exhibited in numerous exhibitions across the nation, including recently at PICA, the Museum of Contemporary Art, Sydney and Australian Centre of Contemporary Art, Melbourne. His works are held in key public and private collections across Australia and overseas including: Monash University Museum of Art, Melbourne; The Queensland University Collection; Brisbane and the British Museum, Prints and Drawing Department, London. He was listed as one of the 50 most collectable artists by Australian Art Collector in 2008.
