HATCHED for Schools Program

PICA offers students and educators an open and dynamic program of tours and activities in conjunction with the exhibition, which is tailored for primary and secondary class groups.

Our guided tours, education kits and online resources, are carefully designed to compliment PICA's HATCHED exhibition, while making art accessible. PICA also seeks to take art out of the gallery by introducing new ways for teachers and students to talk and look at art in the classroom.

FREE Guided Tours
27 April - 6 May

Guided Tours of the HATCHED 2010 Exhibition are available on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays from the 26 April to 6 May.

The tours will be developed in tandem with the HATCHED 2010 education kit, enabling the exhibition experience to be extended for students via follow-up discussion questions and activities. Tours will engage students in discussion about the works where possible, and will emphasise an observational and questioning mode of viewing.

Bookings Essential - please download the booking form here to see times available
