Studio Program Information
PICA is currently seeking expressions of interest for the 2011 Studio Program.PICA's Studio Program does not offer residential facilities but does provide artists with a dedicated space in which to work, the opportunity to form collegiate relationships with other PICA studio artists, access to visiting artists, curators and other arts professionals to PICA, and engagement with a diverse audience.
PICA's Studio Program provides participating artists with a dedicated space to produce new work. The artists work in their studios throughout their residency and are required to present artist talks, open their studio on select days and must result in a public outcome.
The application process for PICA's Studio Program has changed and will now remain open throughout the year.
Studio Guidelines
PICA's studios are available to visual, performing and hybrid artists.
Proposals should include at least the following:
- A single page outline including a summary of your current practice, an outline of the project you would like to focus on while in the studio and how it relates to your practice and future ambitions.
- A short CV, including current contact details
- 5-10 images of you recent work. Images may be in slide format clearly labeled with work details and orientation, or in digital format on CD ROM (jpegs at 72dpi). For multimedia, video or performance work a show reel and/or appropriate media are also appropriate.
