Perth has been branded dull and deserted... boring and functional THE WEST AUSTRALIAN, 16 NOVEMBER 2000 Now, almost half a decade on, fifteen of WA's hottest playwrights have been invited by PTC's Artistic Director Alan Becher to take an intriguing look at what it's like to live in the most isolated capital city in the world: Perth - the city you love to hate, or love to love... or both. Are we the third-most liveable city in the world, or a boil on the backside of the planet? Just how parochial are we on the West Coast, or indeed North or South of our river? If a suburb was 'north' of a 'bridge' what would be the best name to call it? A tongue in cheek, warts and all celebration of our city and life.
